KBO en MEE werken samen aan cliëntondersteuning

Hans Hollanders, directeur KBO Limburg en Irene Thuis, bestuurder van MEE Zuid-Limburg hebben een convenant getekend voor samenwerking op het gebied van de cliëntondersteuning.

KBO en MEE zijn allebei actief rondom cliëntondersteuning, met name bij de keukentafelgesprekken in het kader van de WMO. De KBO zet daarvoor de Ouderenadviseurs in en MEE de Consulenten-beroepskrachten. Dat blijft ook zo, maar we gaan wel kijken hoe we samen de kwaliteit van de cliëntondersteuning kunnen verbeteren. Het belang van senioren in een kwetsbare positie staat daarbij voorop. In de praktijk betekent dat, dat ouderenadviseurs en consulenten in bepaalde, veelal complexe situaties, meer samen gaan optrekken. MEE Zuid-Limburg gaat de KBO en de ouderenadviseurs faciliteren rondom scholing en informatievoorziening. De ouderenadviseurs van de KBO gaan bouwstenen aanleveren voor de signaleringsfunctie van MEE.
